**She recently had her right eye removed due to an injury prior to being rescued.**
Bunnie is settling right in to her foster home in West Newbury MA and if you are looking to add to your pack, she's your girl! Bunnie is 2 years old. 52 pounds and will continue to thrive in a home with a welcoming and playful resident dog. She was a MS stray and gave birth to her brood in a hollow tree. Bunnie was rescued when her babes were just 2 weeks old and she’s an AMAZING dog. Bunnie loves being in the house and enjoys all the creature comforts of home. It is clear she was somebody’s dog at one point and she holds no grudges. Bunnie loves everyone she meets––all humans, dogs, and cats too.
She enjoys chilling inside but enjoys being active outside and will make a really nice adventure buddy. She does excellent on a leash and harness. She is house trained and crate trained though doesn’t need to use it often. She does prefer to sleep in her foster mom’s bed and was happy to share it with the other resident dogs too.
Her MA foster mom says––"Bunnie is doing great and she is coming out of her shell. She likes to chew and shoes are her favorite toy. She willingly gives them up to trade for an actual chew toy and she and Bode (resident dog) now play non-stop! She is so sweet and thinks she is a lap dog. She whines at the door when she needs to go out. We have an in-law apartment and my parents were there last night. Bunnie went over and hopped on their couch and cuddled with my mom. She wants to be touched at all times. She slept in our bed last night cuddled against my husband. I woke up during the night and she was asleep on her back with all four paws in the air."
––“All around I have no complaints about her behavior at all.
She’s always happy. She loves attention. Whoever gets this gem will need to make sure they have a grooming brush. She loves being brushed. She will stand there as long as you’ll brush her. I finally just have to say, ok Bunnie we’re done for now LOL. Marleigh (resident dog) has really taken up with her. They do everything together. She just wants to play and thinks everyone wants to be her friend. She also does good with cats. She’s been a great Mom too. She’s very attentive to the pups and is constantly checking on them and cleaning up after them. She’s just a good natured dog. She would be great for a single, married couple and even kids! She’s really suprised me at how smart she is. She will sit if asked. She just wants attention and like I said thinks everyone wants to be her friend. She is a great girl. I’m going to hate to see her go.”
! Her transition into your home will be supported by one of our trainers (3 sessions!) to set Bunnie and your home up for success for her transition from homeless to home!

All of our pups come with the following:
WE ISOLATE OUR OWN PUPS in our state licensed facility, which means we have eyes on your puppy or dog for the MA mandated 48 hours. During this timeframe, your pups not only see our isolation vet twice but also receive additional rounds of dewormer along with pre + probiotics; transition to Canidae food; additional behavior assessments as they decompress; and so much love and thoughtfulness from our volunteers. Your pups are bathed at intake and again before pick up. All are paired in kennels with littermates or for those that travel alone, we have a rotation of volunteers to visit with them. We provide enrichment throughout the day and meditation music during nap time and through the overnight. We use these 48 hours to ready your pup to transition into a foster or adoptive home and do all that we can to reduce their stress while they are with us.
Ages listed can be approximate and breed mixes are a best guess based on physical characteristics.
