My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Abby a beautiful girl with a big smile! She loves to be loved and give love! Her name means JOY and she lives up to that!
She was dumped on a busy road on April Fools' Day- no joke! They all look slightly different so it is difficult to determine just 1 breed but we for sure think Retriever. Abby is gorgeous! This is a great age to start training and socialization with your family. She gets along well with others so plan to visit soon! We think she is housebroken based on our experience with dogs living outdoors. They know where to go! She is spayed, Heartworm negative and up to date in vaccs. She rode beautifully in the car and is a sweet. She is Easy to calm or she likes to play. She gets along with everyone 2 of 4 legged.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We have a simple contract ensuring that our rescue will be well taken care of, medically and physically, will never be tied or chained, and that a secure fenced area is provided for outdoor play. We want for each a loving home and to become part of a family. Every animal is up to date on shots and spay/neuter is required.

Go meet their pets

We are open 7 days a week by appointment. Weekends are preferred. Come see our waggin' tails and happy faces on 22 acres with large runs and a 5 acre play area. Email to ask for directions and to make an appt.

More about this shelter

We started rescuing dogs in 2001 and became a non profit animal rescue in 2006 out of the sheer need to save animals from the streets, and pick up the ones dropped at our doorstep. We promote spay/neuter, and last year found forever homes for 129 animals from our location, and adopted over 400 through off site adoption..
