My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hutch is a 35 lb neutered mix of Lab and Redbone Coonhound! 2 years old. Housetrained. Very submissive. Is fine with other dogs and cat tested fine. He was returned to our rescue when owner had to be hospitalized. Likes to play ball. Loves to lay in the sun. Likes to lay by the heat. Is microchipped. And updated on vaccines! If you are interested in meeting or adopting Hutch please text Casey at 570-441-0083. We adopt to the general public but we also adopt to military veterans with adoption fee waived in order to provide our heroes with companion or emotional support dogs . Our other adoptable pets our posted on our website as well as the very brief application form. https://rescuepetsservingvets.org.

More about this rescue

We are a small group of volunteers that rescue pets with medical needs from a kill shelter. We treat them at our associated Vet clinic and make sure they are spayed or neutered and vaccinated. Pets are then put up for adoption and we try and match them with the right owners. We give special priority to veterans and we begin service dog training while pets are with us. Pets are fostered in our homes or at the Veterinary Clinic until homes are found.
