Jigs was born in July 2020. He is a bit confused and sad now since his owner recently passed away. He has been a great companion to an 85 year old man who lived by himself. Jigs has been loved, vet cared for and spoiled for 3 1/2 years. Leash trained, he likes short walks around the block a couple times a day. Jigs prefers to be inside, sitting on the couch beside or on his owners lap. He also prefers to sleep under the covers beside his owner. You could say that he takes being a companion very seriously, being aware of and keeping in step with his owner. He uses a doggy door and keeps an eye or nose on his domain, letting the owner know if someone is walking by the house with a few barks. He is usually pretty good about ignoring the neighbor dog on the other side of the fence. He is currently being fostered by his owner's daughter. He has adjusted very well to sharing space with her dog, but kindly lets him know that he isn't the boss all the time. He is very loving and smart.
