Hello, kind human. My name is Oliver and I am a 9 year old 22lb ChiWeenie. That’s a mix between a Dachshund and a Chihuahua, in case you didn’t know. I was in a crowded pound and struggling with all the chaos when Forever Loved scooped me up and brought me in to their care. I am in a foster home where I’ve really blossomed, and I’m really hoping that my turn to capture your heart is NOW. Here’s some things I love - car rides, golf cart rides, snuggling with my special human, and going for walks!! When I have an established routine, I am a calm and quiet, reliably house trained dog. Here are some things that are still kind of scary to me - men and strangers who pay too much attention to me. I like to take things slow and easy, and if men and strangers just ignore me and give me time, I am just fine! (I prefer to keep my distance and approach when I feel comfortable.) I am good with other dogs, but puppy energy can be annoying! I’ve ignored cats so far and the shelter folks think I would be ok with respectful children who won’t chase me or try to grab at me.
