Here's what the humans have to say about me:
NOTE: REMMY IS WITH A FOSTER FAMILY IN SACRAMENTO. GSRSV HAS NOT MET REMMY. WE ARE LISTING HER ALONG WITH OUR OWN DOGS ON THIS WEBSITE TO GIVE HER MORE ADOPTION EXPOSURE. PLEASE CONTACT ESTELLA CERVANTEZ AT ECERVANTEZ75@GMAIL.COM OR 916-576-9610.
“Remmy” is an approx. 60-lb, 4-yo (in February) intact female GSD/Husky who is happy, playful and sweet. Remmy is healthy and up-to-date on her rabies & distemper/parvo vaccinations (both good thru 4-5-27).
Remmy is friendly with strangers, both inside the house and beyond. It’s unknown how Remmy is with young children, but given her sweet temperament, it’s almost a certainty she’ll be good with kids. She loves to cuddle!
Remmy is good with other dogs, and did well with a cat who she was around.
Remmy is housetrained and crate trained. Her foster caretakers keep her in a crate when they are away from the house, and also crate her at night.
Remmy received some basic obedience training and can perform some tricks like “play dead.”
Remmy pulls somewhat when being walked on leash, however she is not reactive towards other dogs who she sees on walks.
Remmy rides OK in a vehicle. She loves to play with toys (see video elsewhere on this page).
Remmy was adopted when she was about 1½ yrs old. Her person, who is the son of her present caretakers, recently underwent some life changes forced him to give up Remmy so his parents took her in temporarily in February, They are now seeking a permanent home for her.
Remmy Is located in Sacramento near Sac State. There is no adoption fee for Remmy, but whoever adopts her must get her spayed within 90 days of adoption. A $300 refundable spay deposit will be required, which will be refunded once Remmy’s adopter provides evidence of her spay surgery. This will all be in writing.
Please contact Estella Cervantez at ecervantez75@gmail.com or 916-576-9610.

GSRSV became a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, charitable organization in March 2013. All donations to GSRSV are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
Since February 2001, Brian Foran has funded GSRSV primarily on his own. Donations have played--and continue to play--a huge part in keeping GSRSV afloat, as adoption fees are a drop-in-the-bucket compared with the costs of running a large rescue program.
To make a monetary donation, please go to the donation page on GSRSV's Website: www.gsrsv.org/DonationsNeeded.htm.
Thanks for your support!

Because I am an independent rescuer caring for many dogs, I am presently unable to conduct regular adoption or "meet & greet" events.
I only arrange for people to meet the dogs that I have available for adoption after I have discussed the dog and have received an adoption questionnaire from them.

More about this rescue
German Shepherd Rescue of Sacramento Valley (GSRSV) is an organization dedicated to finding good homes for German Shepherd Dogs (GSDs) at risk of being placed in shelters, or who are already in shelters and possibly facing euthanasia. GSRSV is an independent rescue organization operated by one individual: Brian Foran. Though countless volunteers and benefactors have supported--and continue to support--GSRSV, I run and primarily fund the program, as I have since February 2001.
