URGENT IN BROOKLYN, NY: After reading Cobain’s heart breaking shelter notes, AmsterDog HAD to rescue him from the emergency placement list, and he is now reserved until Friday 4/12/24, when he is being neutered. Cobain desperately needs a FOSTER or ADOPTER with a quiet home, a little patience, and a lot of love.

Young, sweet Cobain is certainly a whole lot of handsome! With his deep, warm honey eyes framed by his dark brindle coloring, there is a unique regalness in his appearance. But this poor prince-pup has been terrified since he arrived at the city shelter. In fact, Cobain was so frightened that he had to be carried in by his owner – who did not seem the least bit concerned about poor, shaking Cobain. Although he has been suffering in his stress and fear, tender Cobain has only harmed himself, never biting or being aggressive. When uncomfortable, Cobain simply tries to avoid and hide – which is truly the most gentle reaction a dog can have in such a situation.

Cobain is only 1 year old and weighs 62 lbs. With a little patience, Cobain’s playful and loving side can easily be unlocked. Cobain loves toys and will literally play with anything. He has adorable puppy-like qualities just bursting to come out! Cobain was described as mellow and quiet in the house, friendly and affectionate – all great & polite house-dog qualities! Cobain is used to being crated and using wee-wee pads; shelter staff reported that it did not seem like Cobain was used to being walked or outside at all really, as everything is new & frightening to this small pup in a big world. Cobain likes to take it slow, preferring to play in a yard or snuggle up for some soft pets. His previous owner said that they felt so special at how happy and excited Cobain got when they arrived home from work. Cobain already knows some commands, too: sit, stay, & wait. Cobain really is such a good dog who needs a little boost of confidence as he adjusts to all this change – and the loyal, happy, loving dog inside of him is waiting for YOU!
