My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Johnny is a 3-year-old bundle of energy who's been waiting for his forever home for almost 5 months. This playful guy loves to engage in fetch and tug of war-he'll even carry his rope toy on walks, hoping for a game along the way! While he gets excited and can be a bit challenging to leash up, once he's outside, he's a different dog, and only wants to get back to his kennel, without reacting to the other dogs, when play time is over. Johnny is even on the potty trained list as he consistently keeps his kennel clean.

Johnny isn't a fan of other dogs, so no dog parks for him, though he might do well with a tolerant female dog. Surprisingly, he SEEMS TO BE OK WITH CATS, which is a huge advantage. Treat-motivated, Johnny is eager to please, making training and playtime even more fun. A fenced yard would be ideal for him to burn off his energy, and he rides well in the car, making him a great companion for road trips. Plus, don't forget to give him cuddles as he enjoys those as he gnaws on the tennis ball.

If you're looking for an active, loyal companion, come meet Johnny!!

If you're interested in learning more about him, please reach out to our Volunteer Matchmakers at wcac.matchmaker@gmail.com with the subject line " Johnny 248308".

He is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be neutered prior to going home. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times.
