Meet Bonnie! She is about 3 years old, 35 lbs, and she is a mixed breed pup!
Bonnie was found in the south as a stray and came up to MA this past spring. She was adopted to an elderly couple and they are no longer able to care for her, so she is back on the market to find a new home.
She is house trained, crate trained, and walks pretty well on leash. She loves other dogs but can on a bit strong when meeting them for the first time, so we would recommend a home with playful dogs her size or larger. She also experiences some leash frustration on walks and will need some help learning she doesn`t need to stop and say hi to every dog she sees. She could go to a home with older dog-savvy kids, and other dogs. No cats, please!
We feel she would do best in a home with a fenced-in yard, however, we are open to having a conversation with prospective adopters who don`t have a fence to confirm they can still meet her needs through other forms of activity.
Her southern foster said, `Bonnie is extremely sweet, loving and playful. She loves having kids around to help use up her energy. She enjoys time on the trampoline and tag/chase around the yard. She knows it`s bedtime when she goes in the crate. She may let you know for a moment that she thinks she`s not tired but settles down pretty quickly. Any time she sees you she`s thinks you have been gone for too long and wants you to know she is still there for you no matter what. Bonnie is high energy and trainable.`
Her previous adopter said, `Bonnie is a delightfully exuberant and playful dog who loves people and other dogs, loves to play with her toys, and is also very loving with her people. Bonnie is very strong for her size and needs and loves a lot of exercise. She is very wiggly when excited but also loves to snuggle when she is sleepy and she is often sleepy after a long walk or play session in the yard.`
She is available for adoption with an approved adopter by appointment in Hopkinton, MA. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.
-Puppies may not be given as gifts or surprises. -Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a puppy BEFORE applying to adopt. - More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com
