BERKS COUNTY, PA: This handsome fella wants to Buck-le up for a car ride with you - It's BUCKY!
"Hey everyone, it's me Bucky! I don't know why I am still waiting for a home - don't people know what a good boy I am? I was a great family dog for the first 2 years of my life. I was so sad when baby #5 prompted them to abandon me at the shelter. I loved them so much and missed them tremendously. I don't understand - I let them bathe me, groom me, trim my nails, and never went to the bathroom inside. I lived with 4 toddlers, other dogs - even a guinea pig! I just don't like cats, but I sure do love everyone else. I'm really cute, I'm friendly & social, I'm really good at cheering you up after a long day. I am crate trained and will sit for yummy treats! Can I tell you a secret? My name was Lucky while I was with my old family. But the shelter changed it - because how lucky can such a perfect dog be if they end up alone & scared like me? I am having fun in foster care but deep down, I really just want my happily ever after.
Maybe, just maybe.. one day I could be lucky again if someone adopts me."
Bucky will quickly steal your heart with his gorgeous, smooth orange-cream coat and dark, brooding eyes. Bucky is 3 years young and weighs 67 lbs. Through no fault of his own, Bucky had been patiently waiting in the city shelter for 4 very long months. He needed emergency placement and thanks to our foster, AmsterDog was able to rescue him. And he has truly blossomed since, showing his perfect personality as a loving family pet.
Friendly and affectionate, Bucky loves to spend time with his person/people. He is social and good when meeting strangers. Bucky is good with kids, friendly with other dogs, outgoing when meeting new people, and allows grooming/bathing - wow, what a resume! And his opening statement is very much true - Bucky LOVES to go for car rides. He even knows the command "sit"...can you be the one to teach him "paw"? He really does just want to make you so happy! Bucky also has impeccable leash manners, but no cats for him, please.
If you can open your heart and home to loving boy Bucky, please contact AmsterDog at 917-689-8414 or by e-mail at info@amsterdog.org. Apply to adopt Bucky at AmsterDog.org.
Thanks for caring about a pet in need!

AmsterDog Rescue does not have its own facility. Instead, we rely on fosters to care for our beloved animals. Our available animals may change depending on your location and we do transport animals for adoptions within a reasonable distance. Since you will possibly be speaking with and meeting a foster directly, an application must be filled out prior to meet and greets.
