My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Manager Squeeb, the feline who ended up in the shelter after an audacious attempt to take over a local pizza joint. One day, Squeeb, drawn by the aroma of pepperoni, sauntered into the shop. He quickly claimed the counter as his office, managing orders with the flick of a tail. However, his reign ended when he refused to serve any pizza that wasn't topped with tuna. Patrons didn't share his culinary preferences, and Squeeb was kindly escorted to our shelter. Now, he's seeking a new role as a home manager. He's friendly, independent, mellow, and a tad shy. If you need a partner for lazy afternoons and an occasional pizza party, Squeeb's your guy!More information? Call Marion Area Humane Society at 740-389-6548 or email at manager@mahspets.org

More about this shelter

Marion Area Humane Society is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization incorporated in 1967 under ORC 1717. We strive to educate, assist and protect the animals of the Marion area. Since 1986 have operated a shelter to provide a humane environment for homeless animals. In 2011 several generous donors and grants made it possible for a shelter renovation and addition of a separate intake section. MAHS operates a open-admissions shelter with a guilt and fee free surrender policy, to encourage owners who can not properly care or maintain proper living conditions for their pets to do the best thing for the pet. MAHS also provides humane investigations and a spay/neuter voucher program for Marion county.
