Sweet, funny “May", current in Foster care, is small gray tabby that would make a great companion, and she is waiting for her forever home. May makes the cutest little meow sounds with a face that can make you chuckle. She greets and chirps with you in a best-friend kind of way, and loves to snuggle her tiny little (8 lb.) self on your lap. She was a stray kitten found about 5 years ago, at an age cat that still needed a momma to protect and nurture her. May has a corneal scar on her left eye; origin unknown, but it doesn’t affect her good health. She’s never been on the streets, but lost her first human family when the new rental didn’t allow pets, and her second home when she was unhappy with the other cat in the home. She’s currently being loved in foster care, but also being kept separated from other kitties in the home except one; the one former momma kitty who seems to understand her. May prefers to be the only kitty, where she can have your lap, and all your love, all to herself.
May is a pretty perfect only-cat companion kitty. She loves to engage with humans; she’s always ready to trot over to you when you call her. She’s gentle, and easy to pill and goes into a carrier like a champ. She especially loves to be talked to, and when you tell her what a “good girl” she is, she’ll roll and reach out to you. You might guess she’s younger than her 5 years, as light on her feet as she is. She prances and hops like she’s gliding on air.
May will do well in a home with no other cats; or one that has older children, or no kids at all. Her ideal adopter would own their own home with no plans of moving, or moving her any time soon. She’s been through a lot of change this year, and is ready for a life of peace & quiet. She still very much loves to play, snuggle in and under blankets, and to nap on a high perch, so plenty of toys and a great cat tree are desired.
If interested in adopting May, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process. You can make arrangements with the application approver to meet May at our adoption center.
All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and tested for FIV/FeLV. Please know that due to the large number of inquiries received, we are unable to respond to emails quickly.
