Male, 4.5 years, 70 lbs.
Personality: easygoing, outgoing, playful, loyal, energetic, affectionate, adventurous, mischievous, and adaptable.
Rocco is the epitome of a love bug, always eager to join in on the fun whether it's playing in the yard or cuddling on the couch watching TV. His adaptable nature means he can match your energy level, whether you're seeking a playful companion or a laid-back snuggle buddy. While he enjoys his adventures in the back yard, he's equally content relaxing indoors, taking cues from his human companions. With his adventurous spirit and affectionate personality, Rocco will bring joy and laughter to his forever home.
Rocco has shown himself to be a well-behaved and loving companion at home. He is still learning what to do with a ball, but delights the young children in his foster home by playing in the house and the yard. He's gentle with the kids and is more than happy to clean up any food they accidentally drop on the floor!
Rocco has made great progress on house training, does well in his crate, and already knows the words "no," "sit," and "crate". He definitely shows a willingness to learn and grow. Rocco loves toys, especially chew toys, and they keep his mind stimulated throughout the day.
Rocco is choosy with his canine friends and would do best as the only pet in your home, with a fenced yard big enough for him to run and play in. If you're ready for a loyal and energetic companion, Rocco just might be the match for you.

City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).
Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis.
Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
