Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Description
Drew is a sweet and affectionate, happy boy with a big square boxer snout. His whole body wiggles when he wags his tail.
Personality
Drew is bright, observant, responsive, and curious. He is crate trained, housebroken and obedient. He can be energetic, but really patient in most instances and good about routine and doing as told. Drew loves running around the yard, and he is smart enough that he comes right back home the couple of times that he accidentally got out of the yard. He wants to be in the middle of the action and check out everything. He is good with new people and very enthusiastic about car rides, going new places and sniffing new things. A real sweetheart, still young, and just wants to curl up next to you and be your best buddy.
Background
Drew and his young companion Ryder, a Doberman, were found running along the 610 north freeway on Feb 28. They were doing a good job of trying to get themselves hit by a car on the Yale Exit at 6pm rush hour. Luckily a good neighbor had stopped on the ramp to slow cars down and got out to herd them away from the freeway. A little later a GNAR volunteer also exited there, saw and jumped out to help. They got both the dogs into their car and took them to foster homes. Neither had a microchip, they were thin and so hungry and thirsty, but otherwise in good health.
