My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Imagine being a stray, roaming the streets, hungry and alone, with nothing but hope keeping you going. Then, one day, luck finally seems to shine on you. A kind family takes you in, offering warmth, food, and love. This was Momma's story-a sweet, wiggly dog who thought she had found a home.

The family that took Momma in had hearts full of kindness and the best intentions. Momma was housebroken, crate trained, and they wanted to provide her with the love and care she deserved. However, sometimes things don't go as planned. Despite their efforts, Momma and their other dog simply didn't get along. It wasn't anyone's fault-just a matter of different personalities and needs.

If interested in adopting Momma, our team is happy to facilitate a meet & greet with resident dogs to see if Momma might find a canine BFF. However, Momma sure wouldn't mind being the star of the show, the sole recipient of her new family's affection. She is a charming, affectionate dog who adores people. She loves to be close, whether it's snuggling on the couch or following you from room to room, her big, loving eyes always watching, her tail wagging with pure joy. She has so much love to give and is ready to shower her future family with all the cuddles, kisses, and companionship they could ever want!

More about this shelter

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.

This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
