My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Snickers, a gorgeous, long-haired, Tortoiseshell, Maine Coon-mix kitten with a sweet, gentle, playful demeanor. This Princess doesn't walk, she "struts" - usually with that tail straight up like a magnificent plume.

This little cutie is part of a group of kittens we rescued from a backyard colony in Arleta, CA. There were two litters who were being raised along with several generations... some handled and socialized more than others.

Snickers can sometimes still be on the shyer side - when approached by strangers, but warms up quickly once she knows and trusts you. I'm confident she'll blossom in a loving, home environment. She's smart, inquisitive, litterbox trained and enjoys being held in your arms or lap.

Because she's so highly-social, Snickers will do best in a home with at least one, other young/youngish cat.

You'll find her complete rescue journey chronicled on our Facebook page: "Save the Leadwell Kitties" in Photo Album #30 (lots of adorable video footage there, too)!

Snicker's adoption will include her:
* Spay surgery,
* De-worming,
* FVRCP vaccinations,
* Rabies vaccination (if old enough),
* Combo-test (for FIV/FeLV = negative),
* Flea and mite treatment (with Revolution),
* and Micro chipping!

~ $150. adoption fee, adoption contract and home check apply / $250 for a pair ~

* Please only contact us if you'll be making this little girl a permanent member of your household and will be keeping her safe indoors.

** We do not adopt out kittens or cats where they will be the only pet at home. Kittens rely on each other for emotional support and continued social and behavioral development. For example: another kitten or cat will teach them when they're playing too rough or biting too hard. Plus, cats and kittens get very lonely when you're not at home! Having a playmate will keep them happier, healthier and out of trouble. **We offer a discount when adopting a pair!

*** You can also find all our adoptables on our Facebook page: "Save The Leadwell Kitties" (including their rescue story, photos and video updates).

Interested in becoming a much-needed foster? Please send us a message with your best contact info, the type of home environment you can provide and, most-importantly, the City in which you live. Thanks!
