Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Who is going to come snatch up our ADORABLE man Amigo?!😊🐾 Seriously, this guy is as cute as it gets. Look at those ears! Amigo is currently in flight school, since he has his own personal set of wings. 🤣 This sweet man was dumped in our parking lot late at night. He's looking for someone to give him all the love and attention he deserves. Amigo is the best boy, and he certainly knows it! With this cute face, we can't believe Amigo is still here. But every time we see him, he's in good spirits! Our best man loves to run, jump and play with all his friends here at the shelter. He is cat and dog friendly, too! Amigo is currently up to date on all vaccinations and has a neuter appointment already scheduled. He is roughly 55-60 pounds and we believe him to be a Rhodesian Boxer mix. He is sooo excited to get out of the shelter and finally have a home where he knows no one will ever let him go again! If you are interested in Amigo, fill out an adoption application TODAY and come meet him! All animals must be spayed or neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated before finalizing adoption.

More about this shelter
The Humane Society of Southern Illinois was first founded in 1956. We are an open-access shelter that accepts animals from three separate animal control officers, as well as the general public. We are mainly funded through donations and every little bit helps.
We work with a few independent rescue coordinators to place adoptable animals in high quality rescue programs.
As always, this would never have been possible without the kind and generous donations of our members and supporters. Please donate to help sustain this vital Life Saving program!
