Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Lucy came to us from the Stockton Shelter with significant injuries from being hit by a car. Her pelvis was fractured. The fracture was well aligned and healed on its own, although she won’t be running any marathons, and in her golden years, she will likely develop some arthritis in her back end. We have no idea what her back story is, as she was found as a stray. She has a few insecurities that manifest as barrier reactivity and separation anxiety. But when she is comfortable with her human companions, she is a mellow lap dog. She gets along fine with other dogs, and does play with one of her mates in the foster home.
Lucy would do well in a home with another friendly dog her size and where someone is home most of the time. She wouldn’t be a good candidate to go to work with her owner.
Please note that we don’t adopt any of our dogs out to homes with children under the age of 13.
