My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Looks like: Chihuahua mix
Male, 12 years old (estimated), 6 pounds

Whoever has had the pleasure of meeting little Chico can certify that he is an expert snuggling lapdog. This super sweet, friendly, happy and mellow guy loves to be picked up, held, pet and cuddled by anyone, young or old. At his foster home, he mostly follows his humans around, but will eventually snuggle up comfortably for a nap somewhere. He gets along well with other dogs and has not been reactive to cats he has encountered when out and about. In general, he is great on leashed walks, but slows down when he gets tired; occasionally, he does get bouts of puppy energy.

Chico gets a little car sick on long drives or on windy roads. With no teeth left, he prefers his food and treats to be in small bites and soft. His silly tongue often pokes out, which perfectly matches his goofy personality and adorable face. He would love nothing more than joining a quiet, low-activity household where he can spend a lot of time with his doting and attentive companions.

Chico came to us from a shelter in Sacramento.
