Let's be real, though. Waffles are the best breakfast food and we think you'll agree that Waffles the dog is the best girl! She's a sweet hound mix on the search for her forever home to play her days away! Waffles is a tried and true goofball with a heart of gold and her future family should be up for lots of exercise and playtime to keep her well stimulated each day. She is a very affectionate sweetheart that needs a family open to teaching her some nice manners and cool tricks! She loves a good snack so she would definitely be willing to work for treats. More about this shelter

The Woodford Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal organization located in Versailles, Kentucky. We provide shelter and care to the homeless and unwanted animals in Woodford County, surrounding counties, as well as animals from other states. We care for pets of all breeds and ages, with no time limit on their stay, and we are proud to maintain an annual placement rate of over 95%.

With no government funding, we are completely dependent on private contributions to continue to provide care to around a thousand animals each year.

Adoption fees include spay or neuter surgery, vaccinations and deworming while at our Adoption Center, feline leukemia and FIV screening for cats, heartworm screening for dogs, a microchip with a lifetime registration, a free veterinary checkup, and a starter bag of food.
