Drumroll please… Introducing: Telly, the 1 year old pupper who is filled with love.
Telly’s a volunteer favorite because she is so laid back and easy going when it comes to entering and exiting her kennel. She’s known for being affectionate, loving and well mannered. She’s only 1, yet still can sit & come on command. This is why adopting a 1 year old pup is sought after - you will get to skip the demanding puppy phase, as she is already well trained, but you will still get to know each other from a young age so a lasting bond is sure to happen to the two of you!
Telly is also leash trained and playful. Volunteers have noted that she loves her stuffed toys, love exploring and running around the play yard, and still appreciates her down time. We think she’d make a great work from home partner because she loves being close to people, but is happy to do her own thing too!
With Telly’s big heart & playful spirit, she is going to add so much to her forever family. If that is you, come into AAC today and meet her.

Our shelter has more than 500 available cats and dogs every day! For pets at the shelter: Adoptions must be completed in-person at the shelter. AAC is open for adoption walk-ins every day from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. A shelter pet’s availability can change at any time, so we recommend choosing a few favorites. For pets in foster: Go to www.AustinAnimalCenter.org to find the pet's profile and click that pet's pink “Adopt Me” button. This will prompt you to complete an adoption questionnaire. Submitting an application does not hold the animal for you.
We have dozens of animals that won't be listed online yet because they're still in their stray hold period, but can be pre-adopted at the shelter in case their owner doesn't come for them.
Adoption Fees:
$80 cats & kittens up to 6 years old
$80 dogs 6 months to 6 years, 30 lbs and up
$100 dogs under 30 lbs and/or under 6 months
$30 small animals
No fee for senior pets 7 years and older
