Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Oreo has arrived in Boulder and is unpacking her bags in a great foster home. This beautiful 15-month-old girl brings her stylish Tuxedo duds with her wherever she goes. Her coat is silky and her eyes are the color of light honey.
Oreo's foster folks say she loves to PLAY with all her toys! You name it: wand toys, little mice and anything that rolls.
She loves to hang out in her cat tree and watch the birds and squirrels in the backyard.
Oreo can be a bit shy at first (as she's just now settling in to her temporary digs), but give her a few minutes to get to know you, and she'll warm up. She might follow you around and even snuggle on the couch with you.
Here's what her foster people say about her:
"Oreo is a playful and affectionate kitten. After eating she gets a serious case of the zoomies, chasing balls and toys and wanting to play with people. She is generally easy around other cats, but we don’t know how she is around dogs. When it’s nap time she loves a good cuddle and will sleep in your lap. She’s perfectly good with a litter box and has shown no desire to escape outside. She’s curious and fun and a love-bug!"
We're learning more about Oreo every day, so stay tuned. For more info and/or to apply to adopt this beautiful kitty, send us an email at summitdogrescue@gmail.com, telling us a bit about yourself, your home environment and your lifestyle. A volunteer will get back to you shortly. Thanks.

If everyone agrees this is a good match, the board approves the adoption.

Additional adoption info
First you must fill out an application which we will review. Then we will do a phone interview, reference check and finally a home visit before a dog is placed in your home. We ONLY adopt to homes where the dog is an indoor dog, part of the family and treated as such. We stress excellent nutrition, proper training and follow up with all our adopters.
We are probably have one of the more thorough and difficult adoption processes... and we love that people want to adopt and don't want to discourage adopters! So please, if you're in a hurry, or not an exceptional furever home - please try other rescues or a SHELTER is a great option too!
