Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet adorable, cuddly and fun loving Oreo!
Are you ready for some joy and love in your life? Oreo is 15 months old, fully vetted and a petite, sweet little girl with super soft fur and a beautiful purr to go with it! While she loves to play she also has a wonderful mellowness to her personality, especially since she really isn't much older than a kitten.
Oreo loves to play with any type of toy -- but particularly feather wands and chasing squeaky mice and balls down the hallway. As much as she likes to play she also loves her people -- following you from room to room, sleeping in your lap in the evening while you watch TV or if you take an afternoon nap. She is the definition of cuddliness and personality!
Oreo gives love and wants love back... if you are looking for a loving cat, this is your girl! You'll get gentle head rubs and she'll keep you company as you work away in the kitchen, the office or do household chores. She loves to sleep with you and will make biscuits while you read.
Oreo loves watching birds out the window but doesn't appear to be interested in trying to get outside, which is great. Given her history (below) Oreo can be shy at first with new people and then she's your best friend. She's happy to be in the safety of her home with her people. Despite her rough origin story, she is a very even keeled, mellow kitty.
Here's some backstory on this sweet girl from the woman who rescued her: Oreo was abandoned in a dumping spot for cats in Texas. She showed up at her rescuer’s door needing food, water and connection; and after being scared for about a week, she started coming to her rescuer for food and petting. Her rescuer had her spayed and then Oreo was signed on here at Summit Dog Rescue, where we’re busy looking for a great forever home for her. Her rescuer says Oreo is the sweetest cat. She wants to be where you are, wants to get in your lap, to hug and kiss and pump her feet on your legs, back, head, wherever she can find a spot to love on. She sent us a nice letter saying how much she and her 10-year-old daughter had become attached to Oreo, and that Oreo will forever hold a dear place in their hearts. She asked that we please take care of Oreo and give her a lot of love and attention. And she said to pass this message along to Oreo’s adopters, when that happens: “Please take care and thank you for adopting sweet Oreo!”
For more info and/or to apply to adopt this beautiful kitty, send us an email at summitdogrescue@gmail.com, telling us a bit about yourself, your home environment and your lifestyle. A volunteer will get back to you shortly. Thanks.
