Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Chippy came to us from a family who loved him very much. He was surrendered to us in hopes he would have a better life. Around 8 years old, he is a big dog who doesn't know his own strength, especially when he plays. He loves to play!
Chippy has lived in a home with other dogs and adjusted well, but he has been slightly dog-selective here at the shelter. Chippy has been around cats, and is not aggressive, however, he believes small cats are play toys. He also enjoys children of all ages, but again, he doesn't know his own strength so he might be a little too strong for smaller children.
He does have slight anxiety when left alone; it might be ideal for Chippy to be in a home where he could always have a friend with him, whether it be an animal he is used to or a human. Chippy does not like loud noises such as fireworks and is also not a fan of going outside in the rain. Chippy is house trained. He's a good boy, who listens well once he's adjusted to a new environment.
Chippy has a very unique look, especially when he's startled or excited. His eyes get really big, and he might look a little silly to some with his piercing blue eyes. Chippy loves to take walks and enjoy the great outdoors but with a previous leg injury, we don't recommend long walks for this boy. Make sure you keep a fanny pack full of treats because this good boy will give you all the reasons to give him treats!
If you're ready to give our goofball Chippy all the attention he deserves, apply today and set up your meet and greet!
