Fireball is a cute one-year old kitten who was brought to HSOV on April 19, 2023 along with her three siblings (Bourbon, Moonshine, and Tequila) and her mother (Whiskey). Fireball and her siblings were tiny 5-day old babies at that time.
This little family had a heartbreaking story. Whiskey was a happy, outgoing momma and all of her kittens were 'carbon copies' of their beautiful mother. Whiskey had health issues and, sadly, passed away on April 27, 2023 .. Leaving her four 2-week old unweaned babies with no mother. Fortunately one of our wonderful foster mothers picked up the orphaned kittens later that afternoon and gave them the care/bottlefeeding that they needed in order to survive.
But tragedy again struck this little family when three of the kittens (Bourbon, Moonshine, and Tequila) passed away on June 5, 2023.
By some miracle, little Fireball survived (and thrived) and has been enjoying life in her foster home for the past year.
Fireball had a black short smooth with a small patch of white on her chest, a long fluffy tail, and an adorable face with green/gold eyes, a black velvet nose, and long black whiskers.
Fireball was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on June 5, 2023. She was given booster vaccines on June 26, 2023.
Fireball was spayed on March 19, 2024 and was also given rabies vaccine. She is a petite young lady who weighed 5.8 lbs that day.
These photos were taken on March 19th after Fireball returned from her spay procedure and was waiting for her foster mother to pick her up to return to her home.
Her foster family has nicknamed Fireball "Sunshine" since she loves to snooze and relax in sunny spots in their home. We have a feeling that Sunshine (aka Fireball) has already found her forever home (smile).
