Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Bob is a sweet boy and a fun, fun cat. He's around three years old and weighs about nine pounds. His fur is silky soft and he loves to be petted.
He's very loving and especially sweet with kittens, taking over caring for foster kittens in his foster home when their mama is off duty. The picture of him in the kitten pile will make you melt!
Bob also loves to play! Because of his avid and energetic play style, Bob has earned the nickname "Bob the Terminator." His passion is electronic games that he can carry around and disassemble!
Bob is selective about his feline friends. He gets along famously with some cats but others, not so much. A slow, appropriate introduction will help ensure Bob and your resident kitties get along.
With Bob, you'll never be alone as he is always interested in what you're doing and loves to be involved. Doing a little work at the computer? Bob will help! Cleaning the house? Bob will supervise!
When Bob was a kitten he had a severe upper respiratory infection and had to have one of his eyes removed. They were able to save the other eye to keep his eyesight. That eye is sensitive and Bob will need your help taking care of it with warm washcloths and eye drops. Bob is cooperative, though, so providing care to him is not difficult. With his black mask, you can hardly tell he's missing an eye. And by his behavior, you surely would never know!
Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more information on Bob! He's in the KC metro, but transport might be available to the right home.

Since 1999, The Pet Connection has found homes for more than 7,000 animals and rehabilitated hundreds of dogs and cats with aggression, fear and anxiety issues. We have spayed or neutered over 8,000 dogs and cats in our own free and low-cost clinics since 2002 and assisted another 5,800 pets with low-cost services since 2006. The Pet Connection was founded in 1999 in Mission, Kansas, to offer shelter for homeless pets, adoptions and training. We were one of the first no-kill advocacy groups in the Kansas City metro area and the first cage-free facility in Johnson County to offer education about available spay and neuter programs. In 2006, The Pet Connection relocated to a facility in Mission that enabled all dogs and cats to have their own rooms while awaiting adoptive homes or being rehabilitated due to behaviors that hindered adoption prospects. The Pet Connection currently focuses on pet adoptions, dog and cat training, aggressive dog rehabilitation, and classes for pet owners. We were the first in this area to offer free training/behavior classes to adopters.
The Pet Connection trainers and behavior members use a team approach in order to implement the ideas that have the highest success rate. Our five behavioral trainers working out of the Kansas City metro have a variety of backgrounds applicable to dog training and behavior. The Pet Connection implements positive reinforcement training methods, where the dog learns to face the trigger, but to respond appropriately. Read about our experienced trainers under “Meet the Team" on our website at www.thepetconnection.net.
The Pet Connection has always been committed to being no-kill advocates. We have been involved in many projects with local and national organizations to help Kansas City progress in how homeless pets are cared for and to improve the services that they receive. Our organization is a 501c3 charity in the state of Kansas, and has always provided thousands of dollars worth of supplies, including cat litter, food, toys, beds and dog houses, to other rescues and shelters.
