My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bruce is a big beefy lap dog dog! This hunk has a medium energy level, so his size won't overwhelm you (except when he is trying to get in your lap). Plus he is a very well mannered good boy. He loves playing fetch but also enjoys snuggles and belly rubs. Despite being perhaps the biggest kid on the block, he is still young enough that he needs guidance in new situations - a little praise and encouragement from his best bud (that's you!) and he is good to go! For dog friends, he prefers a relaxed companion who likes to just hang out.

The adoption fee for dogs includes vaccinations (DA2PLP+CV, Bordatella, Rabies) spaying/neutering, heartworm check, deworming, heartworm prevention, flea preventative, and microchip.

The adoption fee for cats includes a full exam (feleck/FIV tested, FVRCP), spaying/ neutering, rabies, deworming, and flea preventative.

If you wish to adopt a pet you will need to fill out an adoption application. You can either pick one up at the shelter or email the shelter to request an application be emailed to you.

The Calhoun County Humane Society, Inc. (dba The Animal Shelter), located in Anniston, Alabama, was established in 1973 as a result of the efforts of Susan Levens Phillips.
