Flora is a sweet and shy girl looking for a loving home where she can continue to blossom. She may be a little timid at first, but once she gets to know you, her playful and affectionate side shines through! Flora is a medium to high-energy dog who loves to run, play, and have fun, especially when she has a playmate to join in the action. A fenced yard would be needed for her to burn off energy, explore safely, and to keep her secure when she is scared.

Flora gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats, making her a great addition to any family with furry friends. Though she’s still working on gaining confidence, she’s making steady progress every day and will thrive in a home that’s patient, understanding, and ready to support her as she grows more comfortable.

When it’s time to wind down, Flora loves nothing more than cuddling up and giving sweet kisses – her affectionate nature will melt your heart. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will be your best friend and playmate, Flora is ready to meet you!

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
