DDO- Week of October 20th Today I got to hang out with my friend again! I was a little nervous coming to the lobby but once I remembered who it was I jumped into his arms and gave lots of kisses. Once we were out I jumped right into the car and navigated the whole way to the park. When we got to the park I got all my sniffs in and we walked through Shady Oaks and into Helyer Park where it was a beautiful day for a walk. We walked for about 4 miles and I made sure to check back as much as I could to make sure my friend was keeping up ??. After the walk, we played ball for a while on the basketball court- I love playing catch with the ball, I am so good at it. Afterwards, we laid on the basketball court and just chilled looking up at the sky. It was so relaxing. At the end of the trip we got a pup cup and we took a long drive. I had a great day!
Three Words to Describe Me are: Gentle, Playful, Curious
Notes from My Walker: I LOVE walking Quintin. He is a gentle big headed bully that just wants to be loved and show his love back. He had a little stranger danger when we meeting but as soon as he remembered me it was all forgotten and we got harnessed up and we were on our way. He led the walk but stay in line with me and checking back continually. He knows how to sit and wait (sometimes his sits are lays but thats ok ??) and then he takes treats extremely gently. He loves playing ball, so its a must to bring on your outings with him– he will continue to catch and drop the ball to play with you and when he is not playing he will cuddle up with you and give you all the love you didnt know you needed. I did not find him to be reactive during this trip, though we only had a short interaction with another dog on the trail so that is still something to keep in mind as he has had past notations that he has reactivity towards other dogs. When we got back to the shelter we were in line behind two other dogs and he showed quiet interest but no vocalization or negative reactivity. Quintin is an amazing dog and would be a great addition to any family.

Today I: Met two friends! They took me for a long walk where I got to look for Squirrels and lizards! It was very exciting until one of the squirrels ran right toward me and that was a little scary!! Thankfully, he ran away right before he got to me – he made me very nervous! After that, the walk was great! We did not see any other dogs, which was perfect
