James is a young adult male tabby with a really sad story that fortunately will have a happy ending!
On Christmas Eve 2022, one of our fosters was attending the holiday service when a very sickly skinny tabby wandered into her church looking for help. Instead of being met with kindness, the parishioners started trying to chase him out with brooms 😣 thankfully, our foster immediately stepped up and brought him home with her.
He originally appeared to have what everyone thought was a really severe URI. After multiple vet visits & trying many rounds of different antibiotics with no success, we were referred to internal medicine to figure out what was going on. James eventually had a procedure called a rhinoscopy with CT which revealed no tumors or polyps, just inflammation. He was then diagnosed with rhinitis which is now being managed!
James is probably the most easy going, friendliest, most lovable cat we’ve ever met. He even rolls over at the vet office for belly rubs!
He is neutered, UTD on vaccines, FIV/FeLV negative, & microchipped! His rhinitis is very easily managed with cerenia and he does have an inhaler on hand for flares.
Please don’t let his minor diagnosis scare you away - he is the best boy who deserves the best home!
