Hi, I’m Dale and I guess you could say that I am back where I started! I originally came to the shelter as a stray puppy. I was adopted after a short time. I thought things were going well, but as the months passed I kept growing. I turned out to be much larger than my owner wanted. So I came back to the shelter to try again. I am about a year old. I have all of my vaccinations, I am heartworm negative, I have a microchip, and I have been neutered. Just so you know I weigh about sixty pounds. I am definitely not a lap dog, but I am just the right size to lay on the couch beside you!

The placement of our adoptable animals into loving, caring homes and thereby enhancing the bond between animals and people is the primary goal of the Montgomery Humane Society Adoption Program. We focus on education so that every pet owner benefits from their contact with the shelter, whether or not they adopt an animal from us. Matching the needs of the animal and the potential owner, as well as educating potential owners about responsible pet ownership, helps to ensure successful pet placements of shelter animals.
