Paco is around 10 months, approximately 40 pounds, neutered and fully vaccinated mix breed.
Paco's intuition led him to the right place when he followed our amazing lead rescuer home November 2023. Despite being severely malnourished, he recognized a fellow dog lover and found himself in the perfect situation. (Loving arms of FHSTJ)
Paco is energetic, playful, confident and adaptable given his young age. Early socialization and positive experiences with various environments and situations will help him grow into a well-rounded and confident adult dog.
Paco would thrive in a home where he has a dog companion who can match his energy level and playfulness. Having a canine buddy his size can provide him with companionship and plenty of opportunities for fun and exercise.🐶
However, he would also do well in a home where he is the center of attention!! :} Paco loves long walks and enjoys playtime at the park or beach! Honestly, he would love ❤️ every minute of the day he could spend with his forever family alone or with a canine buddy!!

We take great care in being sure that each adoption is a good fit for both the animal and the adopter. Once the adoption is finalized, after a 1 week trial period, we follow up with the adopter (sometimes more time is needed) making sure that the pet is well adjusted to its surroundings and its new owner.
We also ask that they take the adopted pet to their Vet to have the pet checked out even though we have done so prior to the adoption.

We have adoption events almost every weekend. Our Adoption events take place at Petco & Petsmart, our adoption partners. We also participate in other adoption events in the city of San Diego, CA, i.e., the Doggy Street Festival (at Liberty Station) as well as all the events sponsored by the Animals Support Foundation, that take place in Grossmont, San Diego.

More about this rescue
The greater Tijuana area of 3 million people and thousands of abandoned street animals needs more individuals doing rescues and organizing neighborhood spay events. FHSTJ Does not run a shelter. Instead, it supports grass roots organizations and individual rescuers. This allows us to serve many more animals at any given time, due to this unique system of support. This is accomplished by giving financial support to rescuers and groups which could not function without the generosity of FHSTJ donors.
In summary, we support street rescues, mass spay and neuter clinics, pet owners with extremely limited resources needing veterinary care for their animals as well as public education programs, adoption programs for rescuers, and a pet food distribution program for animals in need.
