My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Landon (about 1 and a half years old as of March, 2024) is a neutered male orange tabby shorthaired cat. Landon was born in 2022 to a feral mama cat that was trapped during a big trap neuter return project and grew up in a foster home. He has an unusual cinnamon coloring with mostly black whiskers and tiny black hairs scattered throughout his undercoat. Landon picked up a little more of his mama's shyness and was the least outgoing in his litter, but he grew up to be a sweet happy kitten that liked to play and cuddle. He was adopted with his foster brother Boyd and they enjoyed over a year in what we hoped was their forever home, but recently their adopter had to move to a place that wouldn't allow her to keep them so they have returned to us to look for a new forever home. Landon is still adapting to the big change and is very shy but has been sweet and complacent with us. He gets along great with other cats and would do best if he could be adopted with Boyd, his lifelong best friend who is a little more outgoing and helps Landon feel safe. He had some dog experience as a kitten but because he's a little more sensitive he'd probably be best with older, calmer dogs that are used to cats and older kids that can give him space as he gets comfortable.

Go meet their pets

Adoption events are held either Saturday or Sunday in Lake County, usually in the Waukegan or Libertyville area. Like Spay and Stay on Facebook to see adoption event locations. Cats can also be met in their foster homes with an approved application. Care Animal Hospital, 1214 W. Park Ave, Libertyville also fosters 1-2 cats that can be seen during normal business hours.
