Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Christmas came into rescue Christmas 2023. She was kept on a chain with no minimal food, no water and no shelter. Before that she was kept in a dirt floor basement. She weighed 27 lbs on intake and was totally matted and had to be shaved down.
She is approx 2 years old and 45 lbs. She is a sweet girl who is active and mouthy like many poodles. She needs an experienced standard poodle owner. One that is familiar with her groomng needs, energy level and being mouthy.
She loves to sit in your lap and would like to be a lap dog! She has learned to sit and wait for her food. She is crazy about eating (understandably) and needs to eat by herself. She gets along fine with the dogs, however she is very active and some dogs don't like that. She never got to be a puppy and learn proper dog manners. She is a quick leaner and with the right owner will be a fantastic pet.
She needs a 6' fence and stays in a 5x5 kennel when the foster is not home. She does ok in a crate at our adoption events.
She loves toys and bones! Walking well on a leash.
Freds Mission Rescue has an adoption radius of 100 miles from Cincinnati. All dogs are fully vetted, altered, current on flea/tick/heartworm/wormer, and microchipped.
The rescue does not adopt out to properties with invisible fences or tie outs.
