My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Joan is a tabby with white socks and chin who just celebrated her first birthday (born October 2023). She has silky, short fur that she keeps very tidy. She is remarkably calm and well mannered. She plays well with other foster cats  and two small dogs. Joan loves cuddles but is not demanding. You may be asking why no one has scooped this lovely and loving kitty up. Answer: she is extremely shy -- until she gets to know someone. When visitors come to look at cats, she is nowhere to be found. She is waiting for that special someone who can appreciate her manners and her capability to love them best in the whole world. She is waiting for someone with the patience to woo her. She'll make it worth the effort.  She has been spayed and is up to date on her vaccinations. All of our cats are fostered in Tennessee but we transport to most states.

More about this rescue

Wild About Cats of Cumberland County is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization dedicated to humanely reducing the outside cat population in Cumberland County through Trap-Neuter-Return. Neutered feral cats are placed at feeding stations that also provide shelter. Young kittens and friendly strays are neutered and provided medical care before being placed for adoption.
