My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Paul and Ringo are two of four cockatiels that recently came to STAR when their owner could no longer take care of them. Paul is a little more outgoing than Ringo and is willing to take millet from a hand, but isn’t yet ready to step up. He likes hanging out on top of his cage and occasionally stretching his wings with a short lap around the room. He loves windows and will chirp and sing towards them. Paul also loves spray baths. He is capable of being more hand-tame, but needs a home willing to be patient and work with him but would also be okay just to have some sweet and singing companionship. Could you be that home? Adoption fee for both birds: $240

We will review your application, and perform a background check, vet check and when applicable, a landlord check.

Home Check

Meet the Pet

For most species, a meeting is required. For some species, multiple meetings may be needed or required.

Sign Adoption Contract

Once approved, sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Whether interested in adopting a particular bird or not, you will need to fill out an Adoption Application, which can be found on our website. From there, our adoption team will process your application (including background check, veterinarian check for all current animals, and a home visit)
We will not ship any of our adoptable birds, and have a 100-mile adoption radius. We do not adopt to breeders. We are not able to adopt birds into homes that use Teflon product or smoke due to toxicity dangers.
