Meet Miss Lexi…she is a delightful 1-1/2 year-old, 26-pound “American Blend” who is as adorable as she is playful! Lexi joined us when her previous owner could no longer care for her, and now she’s on the lookout for her forever home.

We’re not quite sure what breeds make up Lexi’s unique mix—Shih Tzu? Basset? A DNA test might reveal her secrets, but one thing is for sure: she’s absolutely charming! She is bigger in person than she looks in her photos because she is long and low!

This low-shedding, goofy girl is sweet and affectionate, ready to bring joy and laughter into any home. Lexi loves everyone she meets and would thrive in a home with a yard, at least one other playful dog, and lots of love. She has great home manners and is quite patient. Lexi is crate trained and potty trained.

Lexi enjoys running around the backyard, loves to play fetch and tug of war but after playtime is over, she also has a laid-back side, happily lounging in her bed or by your side, eagerly awaiting the next fun activity. Lexi loves going on walks but does get a bit excited when meeting new people and dogs…she just wants to play with them all!

While Lexi has lived with small children, we recommend a home with older, respectful kids who will help her continue to be a wonderful family companion.

Lexi is up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $400.00.

Additional adoption info

Our process starts with an adoption application, followed by interview / meet & greet with adopter and their existing pets, agree to a home check for the safety of the adopted pet and when approved, will complete an Adoption Agreement along with adoption fee. Fees vary based on adoptable pet's age, breed, and situation. Fees range from $120-$550. Cash or check is preferred payment.

We have adoption events every other Saturday from 11:00-2:00 PM at PetSmart in Scottsdale (10030 N. 90th Street).

Due to the holidays, the every other week schedule might be off beginning in January, so please contact Petsmart at 480-391-1647 to find out whether there is an event prior to making your way there.

Pathways Home Animal Rescue is an all volunteer / foster based organization dedicated to finding the best homes for abandoned, surrendered, and county shelter animals. We stay small so we can devote our energies and resources to all the animals in our care. When we take in a found or stray animal every effort is made to reunite them with their owners. All animals in our care receive proper veterinary care, are spayed or neutered, all appropriate vaccinations, preventative care, and microchip are administered before they are adopted.
