My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shannon is a 2 year old  pitbull terrier mix weighing 35 pounds. She loves to steal treats, play with squeaky toys, napping (including snoring) and car rides.  She is a medium to high energy girl. She loves long walks and playing ball. She gets along good with kids, likes to cuddle up with her humans and loves to give kisses.  Shannon is crate/leash/house trained. She also knows a couple of commands, seat, give paw, come and stay...she  is one smart pup!  Shannon is a quirky little gal with a big heart, and she’s looking for a home where she can be the center of attention.

More about this rescue

Friends of Rescue Animals (FRAs) is a 501(c)(3) all volunteer non-profit organization.  FRAs was founded in 2004 and started off with 4 volunteers that wanted to support the Rowlett Animal Shelter.

Our organization has grown to 400 volunteers supporting both the Rowlett Animal Shelter and the Garland Animal Shelter. With this growth now we are able to host multiple off-site adoption events, sponsor heartworm treatments program, operate our own cat rescue program, and so much more!
