My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zero is a feisty bunny with lots of character. This little guy would be a great side kick to Dora! He loves to EXPLORE! With only the fur on his back, this adventurer thrives on discovering new hidey holes, is a prospector of hidden treats, and burrows to places unknown. Tubes, tunnels and empty boxes are his cheap little pleasures that will keep him physically stimulated. Space for this little guy is a must. Why did the bunny throw his empty paper towel roll into the water? No idea. But, consider Zero a gamer! He’ll needs toys for mental stimulation. His binks make him the manliest of man bunnies! His zoomies will have your head zooming by the time he gets his energy out. We’re looking for “somebunny” ready to play and provide companionship with this fun bunny.

If you want to meet Zero, or are interested in adopting, please submit an inquiry or email to samngr@townandcountryanimalrescue.org. Our small animal manager will determine if you and/or your family are a fit and if so, provide instructions for completing the application.

Please NOTE: We have minimum space requirements for enclosures and standards for food for each type of critter, as not all commercially available options are good! The same goes for commercially available foods. After you have submitted an application and have been approved, we will setup a meet and greet between you and the pet. Applications are reviewed in order of receipt.

We are currently operating by appointment only due to a shortage of personnel. If you want to meet this pet, or are interested in adopting, please submit an inquiry or email to tchspapillion@gmail.com. Someone from the rescue will contact you and/or your family and determine, on a broad level, whether you might be a fit for the animal. If so, they will provide instructions for completing the application. Your application will be reviewed and you will be contacted to set up a time to meet at the shelter or the foster home. The introduction between you and the pet will be supervised by one of the dog counselors or the foster. If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit.

More about this rescue

We are a no kill shelter operating in Sarpy County, Nebraska, a suburb of Omaha. We re-home dogs, cats and small critters. We work with dogs that are typically on "death row" and take in dogs from kill shelters in KS, TX, MO and elsewhere, as needed. Our cats usually come from kill shelters with an occasional owner surrender under special circumstances. Critters are found a variety of ways.

We also provide boarding and grooming services at very reasonable rates.
