Meet Amour; this sweet pup was surrendered to Wags and Whiskers with his "siblings", when their owner's living circumstances changed, and they could no longer keep their animals. Amour is a bit shy at first, having been in 1 home, with only his family, for the whole beginning of his life; now he is learning how to act and react to other people, places, animals and stimulants. Just in the short time that Amour has been with us, he has already made leaps and bounds in his confidence level, and he is becoming more brave about going up to receive love from new humans. Amour warms up pretty quickly, once you give him the time, and once he does, he will absolutely shower you with love and affection. Apply to meet Amour, and/or his friends, today!

All of our pets are up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm tested if over 6 months old and will be spayed or neutered before being allowed to go home.

Unfortunately, we don't always know the background of each dog. Some were dumped, abandoned in an empty house, left tied to a tree, picked up by animal control as strays, or simply unwanted by their owners. Please take into consideration that owning a pet is a 10+ year commitment and discuss with all members of your family before submitting an application to adopt.

If you have already filled out an online adoption application with our organization in the last 6 months you do not need to fill out another application. Please call or email us to schedule an appointment. 530-895-8888

Step 2: FILL OUT AN APPLICATION

call to schedule an appointment 530-895-8888

Step 3: APPROVAL, PAYMENT, & PICKUP
Your new family member can be picked up if you're approved and the animal is spayed or neutered. Payment of the adoption fee is required to reserve the pet. Adoption fees vary for each dog, puppy, cat and kitten.

Wags and Whiskers Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit all breed, NO KILL, animal rescue organization, incorporated in August 2015. We are a primarily volunteer driven group with a number years experience with animals and rescue. Our mission is to rescue, foster, rehabilitate and rehome, abandoned, abused and unwanted animals in Willows and Chico, California.

We rescue animals at risk of euthanasia in shelters, as well as those surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances, and those in danger of abuse or neglect. We are committed to helping the most needy, as well as the readily adoptable.
