The Collie Rescue of Tampa Bay, Inc. wants our rescued animals to be adopted by the great family and receive the best care that they deserve AND to stay with the family for the rest of their lives.
Therefore, we have set adoption guideline in order for our rescued animals to be placed with right family. You must meet these guideline below in order for you to be approved to adopt animals from us. NO EXCEPTION!
*You must be at least 25 years old AND no older than 65 years old.
*You must have an identification showing your present address.
*You must have a fenced yard to adopt a dog (NO EXCEPTION!).
*Our rescued animals must be kept indoor all the time. Dogs must be on the leash when they are taken for walk, vet visit, etc. and must be under your supervision ALL THE TIME.
*You must own a home. No rental apartment/house.
*Our rescued animals must not be allowed to have access to outside without your supervision. Therefore, we do not adopt our animals to homes with pet doors.
*Cats must stay inside ALL THE TIME. You must not let the adopted cat roam outside of your home. They must be in secure and safe carrier when they are taken to vet visit, etc.
*You must be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide medical treatment and proper care of the dogs and cats.
*You must reside in Tampa Bay area (Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco, Manatee, Sarasota, Hernando Counties).

Our goal is to rescue, rehabilitate (if necessary) and place the homeless Collies (and any other animals in need) to permanent loving and caring homes. We provide temporary foster homes and appropriate daily & medical care for the animals who are turned into our rescue until the animals find permanent homes of their own.
We are also committed to educate public about health, temperament and appropriate care of Collies as well as promoting the benefits of spay/neuter program.
