My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone, my name is Ava and I am looking for a good forever home.
My life has been a difficult start, I have had sweet foster families who love me but never a home to call my own forever.
I love all people including children, and I love playing.
I have had bad experiences with other dogs in my past and they make me really nervous. I would do best as an only dog. I have not been around cats.
just want lots of land to run around and play on, to sunbathe and fetch a tennis ball. I want all the belly rubs and be warned, I will give you a million kisses. I am so excited for wherever my next home is, I just know it will be wonderful.

From Ava`s foster mom: She loves to be near you and play with you. A wonderful companion. She is smart and has already learned stay, sit, fetch, and heel (we say “walk”). Easy to walk on a leash and loves physical affection from people.

Sweet Lady Ava is part of our Home-to-Home Program. Although they are not a Pawmetto Lifeline dog, they have received the same high standards of care. Vaccinations and spay/neuter are included in the $50 adoption fee. Pawmetto Lifeline wants every animal to have a chance to find a loving home. If an animal is abandoned or needs to be re-homed, we can assist people by providing medical care, marketing and training if the individual fosters the animal.

Please contact us at adoption@pawmettolifeline.org if you would like to meet a Home-to-Home animal.

More about this rescue

Pawmetto Lifeline, formerly Project Pet, was founded in 1999. Since the opening of our adoption, medical, and boarding facility in Spring 2012, we have been able to save more than 15,000 companion pets from euthanasia and gave them a new lease on life. We continue to strive toward the goal of a no-kill community and state through adoption, pet retention, rescue partnerships, and medical services.
