About a week ago, one of our volunteers found out about a dog who had been living on the side of I-75 for months, all alone We spoke to animal control and found out that he used to live on the on ramp and then crossed over to a field next to a plaza. He was being fed, but no one could catch him and no one was looking for him
With sheer luck and determination, he was caught this past Monday by a woman who had been visiting and feeding him and the help of two other people! He was terrified in the moment, but immediately wiggled up to them once in the car
The last few months have been rough for him - his ribs are showing, his skin is flaky, he has scars, fleas, and had ticks embedded in his armpits. He has never been on a leash, never ridden in a car and never seen a TV. But, he's been practicing leash walking all week and learning so fast! (Video in comments) Amazingly, he is pretty comfortable in a house, has not had a single accident and doesn't mind being in a crate. He's a very easy houseguest
Noah is looking for a loving home who can change it all for him. Someone to love him, help him with leash walking, put some weight on him and let him play with your dog
Noah is about 1-1.5 years old, a skinny 50lbs, most likely a Labrador Retriever & Hound mix and was just neutered. He loves all dogs and is very submissive. His forever home needs a secure 6ft fenced yard, no kids and a playful dog to be his best friend.

We are a non-breed specific dog rescue group, although we do tend to take in mostly large and extra-large breeds, and especially those in the hunting / sporting groups.
Love for Paws exists to protect and advocate for dogs in our community through responsible adoption, the donation of supplies and veterinary care to those in need, by assisting in the effort to limit the overpopulation of these animals and by promoting kindness and healthy opportunity for life.
