My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This big boy (all 64 pounds of him) was found as a stray on Old Hwy 68. We are calling this 2 year-old, "General" and enjoying his company. He is very friendly, playful, and loves to be petted. General just has such a happy disposition and would make a great family member!

More about this shelter

A not-for-profit organization, Monroe County Friends of Animals help the County by raising funds to build a new facility for our animals. It is called the Eastbourne Animal Center and has now replaced the old Monroe County Animal Shelter. They provide volunteers, fundraising events, grant writing and more. There is always a need for more volunteers. With a small budget, donations are a welcome necessity. We have developed educational programs to promote spay/neuter and humane care of all animals.
