My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is April and I am the fun, happy pup that you are looking for! I came to MN with my eight babies (yes, eight!). They have all found families of their own and it is my time to shine! At just 38 pounds, I am the perfect size for just about anyone!

Here are some special things about me:
•I am a social butterfly, I love being around other dogs and people. I get so happy that my whole body wiggles! About dogs - I love to play with them all! I have played with bigger dogs and smaller dogs - they are all so fun!
•I love to go on walks and can hardly contain my excitement when we meet another dog. I really don't like bikes or motorcycles - they are so unpredictable.
•My best feature? Who can pic one? Everyone seems to like to see my ears flop like crazy when I prance and run around! The color of my coat is pretty interesting too - everyone says that pictures do not do it justice.
•I’d describe myself as sweet and silly.

My foster mom says there are so many fun things about me and that I am the perfect balance of chill and fun. If I have your attention, I’d love to show you that I could be the perfect addition to your family. We definitely should meet!

All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption.

Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.

More about this rescue

The mission of Warrior Dog Rescue is to save the dogs that are homeless, left abandoned in shelters, are surrendered by their owners, those that are being abused and neglected, and those that are left wandering. We are committed to providing them the medical care they need, helping them to overcome their past by providing them loving, educated foster homes, finding them their perfect forever home by means of a thorough adoption process, and guiding them on their journey into their new life. They all deserve a “good dog life… every single one of them.”

Warrior Dog Rescue will be a model rescue by partnering with overcrowded shelters that need to make room for more abandoned dogs. We will continue to educate others about responsible dog ownership in regards to safety, spay/neuter, nutrition, obedience, socializing, abuse, and neglect. We acknowledge that we will have a role in this industry to take the lead on providing awareness to others in the community and across the country. Every dog will know what it feels like to be loved till the end of their life.
