Here's what the humans have to say about me:
FOR ADOPTION: BEAU is a sweet and adorable one year old male Maremma mix. Beau is a medium to large sized dog, he currently weighs 60lbs and should get a little larger as he matures over the next year but he will not be a massive dog. Beau has a very sweet and submissive personality and a solid medium energy level. He is friendly and gentle with people of all ages and quite submissive with other dogs. Beau loves to have a playful friend and is able to adjust his level of play to the size of his buddies. He has been raised around rabbits, sheep and chickens and is calm and gentle with them. He has had limited exposure towards cats but has no desire to chase them. Beau was rescued as a young pup along with two of his brothers by one of our wonderful vets. Her family did try to have the boys grow into working livestock guardian dogs but Beau has always had a strong desire to be with humans. He will not hurt the livestock but he wants to be where the people are. Beau enjoys going for walks and will make an excellent hiking buddy. He is not built for high impact activities such as mountain biking or long distance running. Beau has not grown up indoors but is doing well with his house training. He has been clean and non destructive in his kennel, we would recommend kennelling him when he needs to be alone as he is still a young guy and he could get into things. Beau is looking for a family that is kind and patient. He will require gentle guidance to help him expand his world and get used to the sounds of life in a home. Beau does whine and bark when he is first left alone but he does settle and enjoys puzzle feeders and stuffed Kongs to keep his brain working on his down time. He is also currently quite nervous in the vehicle. He is so open to trust and willing to try new things though, with calm patience he will conquer all of the new challenges he comes across. He would Beau is neutered, vaccinated and up to date on parasite control. If you’ve been looking for a sweet, submissive adventure buddy apply today at www.NWAS.ca for a chance to meet BEAU #NWASBeau
