Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**Fostered in Tacoma, WA and ready for meet and greets!**
A girl who has a good face, loves the outdoors, is athletic and confident… if you feel like you might have crush on her, don’t worry- I do too! She is a dog so she can absolutely be your forever! And isn’t forever love what we want? Let me introduce you, her name is Barbie! Don’t get the wrong idea though, she didn’t earn that name on account of her size, she isn’t big but she isn’t small, you might even say she is perfect at 54 lbs!
We believe Barbie is just shy of being 2years old and is likely some sort of pit bull/ retriever mix. Weighing 54 lbs and full-grown, she is a great size. She is what I call one-cushion snuggle-size. Basically, she takes up the perfect amount of space for good snuggles and companionship.
Barbie lights up around people, especially kids. She is so full of love and joy that it’s contagious. She is very easy to fall in love with.
Take a look at her in action and come back to read a bit more.
Barbie could best be described as a lover, toys are never as interesting as a person she can love on. Even treats come second to love. Basically Barbie's love language is quality time and physical touch. From what we have seen she is quiet, house and crate trained. She will need reminders as she transitions into her new home but don’t worry, she is a fast learner. Barbie gets along with other dogs but she would be absolutely content to be your one and only. After spending an afternoon with her I will confirm, she has the personality, playfulness, and adoration to absolutely fulfill you as a dog owner. This girl is the complete package! So basically, home with a yard is a yes, other pets are not needed but are fine too!
Another lovable little thing about Barbie is that no matter how excited she is about love or a treat, she keeps a soft mouth. No overly excited mouthy one here! I love that and can tell you it is not always the case so consider that a preloaded skill worth its weight in treats!
Barbie is a gorgeous bachelorette who has a bus ticket right for your heart- she’s athletic, adventurous, has adoring eyes, a gentle mouth, and is available! She is ready for suburban family life or to warm up the bachelor pad. If you have any questions about Barbie or would like us to test him for a specific setting or detail, please be in touch! We can make most anything happen to ensure she is the correct fit for you and your life!

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.
Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!
Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.
It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:
Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family
Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.
