Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Survi (short for survivor) had a sad beginning but you would never know by this sweet boy's disposition! He is happy go lucky, always up for a good time playing outside (though you do have to be careful because he gets sunburned easily) or a nice walk around the neighborhood. He does well on a leash, is working on potty training, loves all dogs, kids and people. He is approximately a year old and around 45lbs but still needs to gain another 10 lbs. Survi is playful and full of energy. He loves to crawl in your lap for snuggles he has no idea how lanky he is! He is working on learning manners but is still very puppy. If you are interested in being part of his happy ever after please send an email for an application at barrcapp@gmail.com.
His adoption fee is $450 it includes his neuter, vet exam, current month of heart worm prevention, dewormer, annual vaccinations, and microchip.
His rescue story: This sweet guy was found in a vacant townhouse locked in the garage by a realtor showing the house next door. He was a matted mess. Not know what to do with him she got him out of the garage and just let him loose in the townhome community and posted a picture on a lost pets page. It was sent to bark and roll and we immediately sent someone to find and pick him up. The next day a gracious groomer volunteered to shave him down his coat was such a mess. She shaved 3 lbs of matts and debris over many hours. What she found underneath was heartbreaking. He was literally skin and bones with no muscle mass at all. He was struggling to stand because he was so starved and no muscles to hold him up. He only weighed 27lbs (he should be 55-60). We begin a regiment of special feeds every 2-3 hours and soon he began putting on weight. Through out the whole ordeal he was nothing but sweet, friendly and happy. His tail never stopped wagging even when he could barely stand! He had various wounds due to bones grinding through his skin that have all healed now. Though his body had a lot of healing to do his, his spirit was always intact and nothing short of happy and lovable!
