*** Petfinder Senior Pet Adoption Assistance Grant will cover 6 months of Muppet's arthritis injections and special food!***
Meet Miss Muppet! This sassy, toothless, senior gal is as good as it gets! She came from a really tough situation. A dumped housecat, found freezing and starving back in January was luckily rescued and brought to the city shelter. Weighing in at barely 4lbs, she was skin and bones who needed lots of medical attention and love. The shelter got her all fixed up, and she was scooped up by us to find her forever family! She is a bit grumpy sometimes, but has a one in a million personality and adorableness that makes up for it. She is full of sass! Her pigeon coos for attention and love bites are the best!!
Muppet is not the biggest fan of other animals, but she will tolerate them as long as they don’t bother her. She would likely be okay with other senior pets. Since Muppet has no teeth as well as a sensitive belly, she needs to stay on Purina ProPlan Sensitive Skin & Stomach wet food. She gets a monthly injection for arthritis, which has helped her tremendously! Her forever family will need to keep her on her special food and bring her to the vet regularly for her care.

Additional adoption info
During review of the application if you rent your home, we confirm with your landlord that you are allowed to have the cat per your lease.
We also consider if a particular cat is a good fit for your home. Certain cats will do better in homes without small children, or without other cats. Other cats may need to be adopted with a cat that they are bonded with. So we make sure that the cat and the home are a good match before completing an adoption.
Some of our fosters allow trial adoptions, where you would have 2-3 weeks to make sure that the cat being adopted was accepted by the other pets in your home. If you are interested in this, please ask your Adoption Representative.
All cats adopted from Stray Cat Blues have been screened for feline leukemia and FIV, inoculated, sterilized and wormed when they first come to us. Additional vet work is completed for those cats that require additional care. Healthy, adoptable cats and kittens are then housed through our network of foster homes until they are adopted.
You are also welcome to come visit cats at our PetSmart Collegeville and PetSmart North Wales/Montgomeryville locations (see times for adoption showings). If you see a cat there that you like, you can complete an adoption application there in person.
Questions - email us at: contact@straycatblues.org. We are happy to answer general questions, and also put you in touch with the foster families for questions about specific cats.
Adoption Fees:
• $150 - Kittens up to one year of age
• $100 - For cats over one year and up to 7 years of age
• $70 - For cats 7 years of age and over.
All fees are subject to Pennsylvania's 6% sales tax and a minimum of $5 or 5% service fee.
Fees for cats with special needs will be determined based upon circumstances and may result in a fee reduction.
