My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Skeeter is a petite, 30 pound foxhound who came to us from a shelter in the southern part of the state. At around two years old (or less), this little sweetheart has the rest of her life to be your dedicated daughter! Though she was obviously not well cared for in the past, Skeeter has gained weight and looking beautiful! She is kind and affectionate. She is GREAT with other dog and always ready to have some fun! No cats, please.

Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
