We can't guarantee Black Jack can play cards, but he'll make you a winner at heart! While this 2-year-old void isn't the most outgoing in-your-face cat, when he knows you're a friend, he's as sweet and affectionate as can be. He may take a little time to warm up in a new place, but he's so, so worth it.
Black Jack loves other nice, calm cats, especially his pal Marian who he likes to snuggle with in the cat walk. He gets a tad intimidated by bossy or bully cats or lots of commotion, causing him to hide. Dogs don't seem to bother him, but again, ones with big personalities might scare him. In addition to up-high spaces, one of his other favorite places is the cat walk, where he loves to sunbathe, nap and hang out quietly with friends. Black Jack is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.

Interview
We will call your veterinarian and personal references. We'll also call you if we have questions or need more information.

Approve Application
We will approve or deny the application. You may be approved to adopt, but not necessarily the same animal you originally applied for.

Meet the Pet
This may be done before applying. You'll be asked to sign an adoption contract and to make a certain donation amount, rather than a set fee.

We are passionate about pairing animals in need with loving families who would best suit their individual needs. NOTE: You do not have to apply for a specific animal on your application. You can submit it as a "pre-application" for a certain size, age or breed of animal, and if approved, we can contact you if a possible match arrives at the shelter.

Our facility is open 12-5 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and 12-4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. We are closed Mondays and Wednesdays but are happy to arrange appointments outside business hours.
